It uses two AAA batteries instead of the 9-volt battery commonly found in less capable units. With its low-voltage, application-specific integrated circuit, the thermometer's battery life is increased by up to 60-percent.
This infrared thermometer provides accurate readings over a broad range of temperatures from -76 to 932 degrees Fahrenheit (-60 to 500 degrees Celsius). It displays both current temperature and maximum temperature on the bright backlit LCD display.
